I thought I'd update ya'll again on Jules! She's home on hospice. I talked to her last night for about 20 minutes. She sounded really good. She was really happy to have made it through Christmas to see Christmas with her Grandbabies.

Tanner and Kelly are still staying at the house with the babies and Jules and Don. Jules tires out very easily. She really wants to get to where she can drive her Vette again and ride her bike at least 1 more time.

Please keep Jules and her family in your thoughts and prayers, I know that prayers can work miracles.

Chevy Unveils Two Unique Corvette Pace Cars

History will be made at the 2008 Indianapolis 500 when a pair of distinctive yet highly differentiated Corvette models will serve as the official pace cars - one highlighting Chevrolet's commitment to fuel solutions and the other marking 30 years of Corvette's pace car heritage. Chevrolet and Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials gathered at the Indianapolis Auto Show to make the historic announcement.

One of the pace cars is a customized Corvette Z06 E85 concept that runs on E85 ethanol fuel, a domestically produced alternative fuel similar to the E100 fuel that powers all of the racecars in the IndyCar Series. It will be driven during the race's pace lap by two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Emerson Fittipaldi. The other official pace car is a black-and-silver commemorative edition that marks the 30th anniversary of the celebrated 1978 pace car - the first Corvette to pace the field at the Indianapolis 500. Chevrolet will produce a total of 500 pace car replicas in both coupe and convertible form, each signed personally by Fittipaldi at Corvette's Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant. The 92nd Indianapolis 500 takes place on Sunday, May 25, 2008. It will be Corvette's 10th appearance as the official pace car - a record unmatched by any other vehicle.

Watch our Expansion Plans Come to Life

We are excited to be at the verge of a monumental change for the Museum as we plan for the future and expand. The ground breaking for our 47,000 square-foot expansion is planned for April 2008 as part of the C5/C6 Bash. November is Military Appreciation Month

All military personnel, firemen, police officers and their immediate families will receive “Free Admission” during the entire month of November. All branches including active, retired and reserve members will be honored with free admission when presenting a military or service ID.

In conjunction with Veterans Day on November 11th, we are offering free admission to honor the many men and women who fight and protect our country and our freedom. “We are truly a blessed nation and our military provide the safety we have to enjoy our American privileges,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode. “Corvette is an American icon and we invite these special individuals and their family members to experience a tour of the Museum dedicated to America’s favorite sports car.”

Corvette Racing Receives Post Season Accolades

The checkered flag at the conclusion of the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Oct. 21 marked the end of the 2007 American Le Mans Series season, but Chevrolet's factory road racing team kept on winning.

Two members of Corvette Racing received special recognition awards in post-season ceremonies: Corvette Racing driver Ron Fellows was voted the Most Popular Driver for the fourth consecutive year, and Ray Gongla, crew chief for the No. 4 Compuware Corvette C6.R, was honored as the GT1 Crew Chief of the Year. The ALMS Most Popular Driver award is determined by the fans in online voting. The GT1 Crew Chief of the Year award is selected by the pit lane and technical staffs from IMSA, the sanctioning body for ALMS events.
